Grantham Squash Club is now serving 2 real ales and entry is free to Camra card carrying members.

Unfortunately we have to report the closure of 2 of our pubs, Wheat Sheaf, Dry Doddington and Five Bells at Edenham.

The Welby Arms, Denton will be open again from Thursday the 17th March. The opening hours are 12 noon to 9pm Thursday to Sunday inclusive.

Unfortunately we have been advised that Beerheadz, Grantham has now closed.

We have been advised that the Angel and Royal Hotel has now reopened and is serving real ales from Brewsters. 30p 0ff a pint of real ale to members with a valid Camra card.

We are aware that the following pubs that have remained closed up till now are reopening on 17th May

Fox and Hounds, Old Somerby.

The Thorold, Marston.

Nobody Inn, Grantham.

The Old Bank, Grantham.

The Cholmeley Arms, Burton Coggles.

If anybody is aware of any other pubs in our branch area reopening from 17th May please advise us so that we can let people know.

10/05/2021 Customers will reap social and health benefits of a pint down the local when indoor opening begins from 17th May: CAMRA Commenting on reports that the Prime Minister will announce that indoor re-opening for pubs in England is set to go ahead from 17th May, CAMRA National Chairman Nik Antona said:

“CAMRA are delighted that indoor opening is on track to go ahead from 17th May, so customers can enjoy the social and wellbeing benefits of being back inside the local – not just in its beer garden.

“This will also help the thousands of pubs, particularly smaller community locals, that do not have outside space and who desperately need to start getting money through the tills again.

“Whilst this next step is very welcome, we aren’t out of the woods yet. Distancing and table-service only restrictions will still mean many pubs can’t operate at full capacity with many continuing to struggle to make ends meet as a result.

“The Government should continue to support the beer and pubs sector in the months and years ahead by backing CAMRA’s campaign to cut the rate of duty on beer served in pubs – with the savings passed on to publicans and consumers. This would help pubs to compete with cheap supermarket alcohol and encourage responsible drinking in the supervised setting of the community pub.”
