      There has been a hostelry on the site since the 11th Century. The hotel is famous for King John holding court on several occasions. In more recent times it became one of the great coaching Inns on the Great North Road. The main hotel bar has 2 handpumps. The beers on the bar are predominantly from LocAle brewer Brewster's.

      A cosmopolitan and contemporary bar that features beers from local breweries Brewsters and Zest, other regulars include beers from Bakers Dozen, Kelham Island and Framework. Supplemented further with changing guest beers. Located on a paved side street between the High Street and the Market Square, known locally as Butchers Row, it has a relaxing atmosphere during the day and comes alive and vibrant on the evenings and weekends. Seating inside at the front and rear of the bar where you will find original arched ceilings.

      A community run club voted Branch Club of The Year for 2022, 2021 and 2020, which supports Grantham's three local brewers. This former British Rail Staff Association club plays host to numerous cribbage, darts and domino teams as well as supporting various social and community organisations. There is live music every Saturday night, with a spacious back room available to hire. CAMRA members welcome. Accessible on foot following the railway underpass or in a vehicle from Huntingtower Road.

      A backstreet pub surrounded by chimney pots, a locals pub friendly and a real gem in todays world, with three rooms comprising a modern lounge and a traditional bar of Victorian style where darts and cribbage are played and a small snug. Great choice of real ales for tickers available and one cider. Two real ale and cider festivals are held each year with a real log fire in the winter creating a cosy and warm atmosphere.

      Now serving afternoon meals from Thursday to Sunday, booking advised for Sundays. Friday night pie night 5pm-7pm. Saturday night ribs or burgers 2pm-6pm (see Facebook for details).
